Increased level of project management on a long running project.
Objectivity is a well established software development company that provides bespoke solutions that sit at the core of their customers’ operations. During 2008, they embarked on a growth strategy which included increasing their development capability in Poland. A symptom of the strong growth was a brief shortage of project management capacity in the UK. Objectivity was not prepared to introduce risk into any of the on-going customer projects so decided to bring in external support. We were engaged to project manage an on-going data warehouse development for a large media company.

Pulling the project back on to schedule.
Aims of the project
To review the structure in place, understand where the gaps were and make sure the Objectivity Project Life Cycle was being used properly.
Re-establishing the project governance, this included highlight reports, plans, documented review meetings and so on. For the remaining stage, Stuart facilitated a rigorous business requirements process and ran the change control process.
The Objectivity senior team were able to build their own project management capability, in the full knowledge that their customer and their project were both being looked after. In turn, this has created capacity for Objectivity to expand further.
Re-emphasises the need for strong and consistent governance around IT projects.
